Language:  Students are reviewing how to write an excellent paragraph using a topic sentence, transitions, added explanations or examples, and a conclusion phrase.  They are writing these paragraphs about the Chinese dynasties that they are currently studying in history.

Spelling:  Lesson #1  - See the sidebar for this week's spelling words

Science:  Students are studying chemistry.  What is matter?  What are the states and properties of matter?  Student will continue to explore these concepts.  There will be a quiz this week. 

Math:  Currently, we are reviewing place value, how to write and read large numbers, greater than and less than.  KEEP REVIEWING THOSE MATH FACTS!

Reading:  We started reading Pollyanna last week.  We are working on reading skills such as character development and vocabulary.

History:  Ancient China - Last week, we learned about Qin and Han dynasties.  This week, we are learning about the Tang and Sung dynasties.
